Every now and then I meet a couple that I just can't help but love. Andrew and Jenn are my people! Laid back, fun, energetic. I had such a good time with them! Jenn and I chatted over email for a few weeks before I actually met her, and I was right—they were awesome.
I'd love you to meet them, and Knox, their sweet boy!
Their Desert Engagement Session
We shot in the desert near the Superstition Mountains at sunset, and the light that evening was incredible—warm and beautiful in that way Arizona sunsets just hit different. Jenn and Andrew live in Alaska now, but they're originally from here and have family in the area, so coming back to the desert for their engagement photos felt right.
These two brought such great energy to the session. They were playful, a little rebellious, and totally themselves—which is exactly what you want. They were totally comfortable with each other, which made everything easy. Plus, they brought Knox along, which always makes things more fun. There's something about having your dog in engagement photos that just feels authentic.
Her parents' house backs right up to the Superstitions, which was perfect. We explored different spots around the property, and they just went with it. The mountains and sunset light did all the work.
Thank you Jenn and Andrew, it was great to spend an evening with you! And for being so in love...you make my job easy :)
Tips for Desert Engagement Sessions
Sunset is Everything: That warm Arizona light at sunset is unmatched. We shot during golden hour near the Superstitions, and the light made everything feel magical.
Bring Your Dog: If you have a pup you love, bring them! Knox was such a great addition to their session and made the photos feel even more like them.
Be Yourselves: Jenn and Andrew's playful, slightly rebellious energy made their photos unique. Don't try to be someone you're not—lean into what makes you, you.
