Corona High School Graduate | Chase
Chase is a cross country runner at Corona, which feels fitting given his name. He's also genuinely one of the nicest kids, which made the whole session easy and relaxed. When someone's just naturally comfortable in front of the camera, my job gets a lot simpler.
Cross Country Senior Photos
Chase was up for whatever, which is the ideal senior session attitude. Athletes usually know how to take direction well, and Chase was no exception. Cross country runners especially tend to be focused and easygoing, which translates into good photos. We kept things simple and let his personality come through without forcing anything.
Chase's dog Daisey had to make at least one appearance, which I'm always here for…as a dog owner my self! Including pets in senior sessions adds a personal touch that generic portraits just don't have.
Tips for Athlete Senior Photos
Bring your gear if it matters to you. If you're a runner, bring your shoes and jersey. If you play an instrument, bring it. Show what you actually do, not just who you think you should be.
Keep it natural. You don't need to be in full uniform or mid-action shot for every frame. Sometimes just wearing your team colors or holding your equipment is enough.
Include what (or who) you love. Your dog, your car, your favorite spot—these details make your photos yours instead of just another senior portrait.
