Family Photography

A family of six walking outdoors in a park during sunset. They are holding hands and smiling. The group includes a woman, a man, three children, and a young girl. The background features palm trees and greenery.

I've been photographing families for over a decade, and I know the drill: getting everyone to cooperate for photos feels like herding cats. Kids don't want to sit still, teenagers definitely don't want to be there, someone's always making a weird face, and you're already stressed before we even start. I get it.

Here's my approach: I'm not going to make you stand in a line and say "cheese" for 45 minutes. We're going to walk, play, interact, and let things happen naturally. The kids can run around. You can actually talk to each other. I'll give you things to do that don't feel forced, and we'll get photos that actually look like your family—not some stiff, generic version of it.

Whether we're at the Agritopia Orchard in Gilbert, wandering the Salt River, shooting at your home, or exploring somewhere else around Arizona, my job is simple: capture who you are right now. The chaos, the laughter, the real moments. Because that's what you'll want to remember.

Family sessions are all about connection—your real moments, your laughter, your people. Whether we’re exploring the desert or hanging out in your home, my goal is to create images that feel true to who you are and reflect the beauty of your everyday life.
