Williams Field High Senior Photographer | Riley
Riley goes to Williams Field High School in Gilbert, and here's a fun fact: she's been in my life since she was three years old. My husband and I were actually her Sunday school teachers way back when. So yeah, this one was a little special.
She's grown into someone who's just genuinely easy to be around. No pretense, no awkwardness, just good energy from start to finish. Sessions like that are my favorite because we can skip the warm up phase and just get into it.
Riley is a swimmer, which honestly tracks. There's a focus and a calm to her that you don't always get with seniors, and it made the whole session feel smooth. We had a great evening together and I left feeling like I got to document someone who's going places.
Tips for Planning Your Senior Session
Book earlier than you think you need to. Fall books up fast, especially for seniors. If you're eyeing a specific season or location, locking in your date early gives you way more flexibility.
Think about what feels like you. Some seniors want a more polished, styled look. Others want something casual and laid back. Both are great. I just want the photos to feel like the actual person, not a version of them that they wore once and never again.
Bring a few outfit options. Two or three looks is the sweet spot. You get variety without the session feeling rushed or scattered. Mix it up: one casual, one a little more put together.
Don't stress about posing. Seriously. That's what I'm there for. I'll walk you through everything and make sure you feel comfortable. Most seniors are surprised at how natural it ends up feeling once we get moving.
