Gilbert Engagement Photographer | Cameron & Tiana at the Olive Grove

I know Tiana's family from church, so when she and Cameron got engaged, I was thrilled to photograph them. These two are incredibly affectionate and so excited to be married—you can feel it in every interaction.

We met at the olive grove in Gilbert on a September morning. The light filtering through the olive trees was soft and beautiful, and the setting gave us that romantic, intimate vibe without feeling too formal or stuffy.

Their Engagement Session at the Olive Grove

Cameron and Tiana are one of those couples that make my job easy. They're completely comfortable with each other, and that natural affection translates into every photo. Walking among the olive trees, sitting on a blanket, laughing, kissing—it all felt effortless. What I love about engagement sessions is getting to know couples before their wedding day. By the time December rolls around and I'm shooting their wedding, they'll already be comfortable in front of my camera. That makes everything better—less awkward posing, more real moments.

The olive grove is one of my favorite Gilbert locations for engagement sessions. It's peaceful, the trees create natural frames and texture, and it doesn't feel overly desert-y. Perfect for couples who want something a little different from the typical Arizona landscape.

Tips for Engagement Sessions

  • Morning Light is Magic: We shot in September, and that morning light through the olive trees was soft and flattering. Skip harsh midday sun—early morning is where it's at.

  • Be Yourselves: Cameron and Tiana's affection for each other is genuine, and that's what made their photos special. Don't force poses that don't feel like you.

  • Choose Locations That Feel Right: The olive grove worked for them because it matched their vibe—romantic, peaceful, not too over-the-top. Pick a spot that actually feels like your relationship.
