San Tan Mountain Family Photographer | The Drapers
Super excited for baby 5! Love you Drapers!
Ashleigh and I are long-time friends, and I've been photographing their growing family for years. So when baby number five was on the way, we headed to San Tan Mountain Park for a fall sunset session to celebrate. We shot in the fall with that perfect desert sunset light. Ashleigh glowing and pregnant, and everyone just genuinely happy to be adding another little one to the crew.
Their San Tan Mountain Session
The Draper family knows how to show up! Excited energy from the kids, joy from Ashleigh and Brian, and zero stress about keeping everyone perfectly posed. That's what happens when you've done this before!San Tan Mountain Park is one of those Gilbert-area locations that works for any family vibe, especially if you love the desert as much as Ashleigh. Wide landscape, mountain backdrop, open space; perfect for a family that's outgrown sitting still for photos.
I've photographed the Drapers so many times over the years, and each session feels like documenting the next chapter of their story. From early family sessions to celebrating new babies to that big extended family gathering—it's been such a gift to watch this family grow.
Tips for Family Sessions While Pregnant
Celebrate the Milestone: Baby number five on the way deserved to be documented. These moments—the anticipation, the growing family—matter. Embrace where your family is at right now.
Fall Sunset is Perfect: We shot at San Tan Mountain Park in the fall, and that evening light was beautiful. Not too hot, gorgeous golden hour glow.
Let Everyone Be Themselves: With four kids who are past the age of sitting still, we didn't force anything. Real moments happen when you just let people be who they are.
