I'm thrilled to introduce you to Joia and Carlton! I recently got to know Joia through Bible study at church, and when she told me about their engagement, I knew we had to capture this special season of their lives. They are such a fun, God-loving couple, and I just know this is the beginning of something beautiful.

We chose the Riparian Preserve for their photos, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The golden hour light in the desert creates the most romantic atmosphere, and it was ideal for capturing their love story.

I'll be honest—Joia and Carlton felt a little awkward at first (totally normal!), but once we started having fun, those feelings completely faded. They're so cute and affectionate together, and their genuine connection shines through in every photo. You can tell they're absolutely thrilled to be getting married, and that excitement is contagious!

Just Be Yourselves: The best photos happen when you relax and focus on each other. A little awkwardness at the start is totally normal—it always fades once we get going!
