Campo Verde High School Senior Photographer | Lauren

Lauren's session reminded me why I love shooting at Superstition Museum. The light there is consistently gorgeous, and the desert backdrop gives you that authentic Arizona vibe without trying too hard. Plus, when you've got someone who's naturally photogenic, it makes everything easier.

Superstition Museum Location

Lauren was game for whatever, which is exactly the energy you want in a senior session. No stress, no overthinking, just showing up. If you're looking for a location that screams Arizona without being overdone, Superstition Museum is it. The buildings, the desert landscape, the way the light hits in the late afternoon, it all works together. I've shot here countless times and it never gets old.

Tips for Desert Senior Photos

  • Golden hour is non-negotiable. Desert light can be harsh and unflattering during midday. Late afternoon gives you that warm, soft glow that makes everyone look good.

  • Wear colors that work with the desert. Earth tones, whites, denim, these all complement the natural landscape. Neon or super bright colors can clash with the surroundings.

  • Trust the location. Places like Superstition Museum have been photographed a million times because they work. Don't overthink it.
