Phoenix Senior Photographer | Tara and Madi

Shooting twins for their senior sessions is always interesting because even though they might look identical, they're usually completely different people. Tara and Madi proved that theory right—same DNA, totally different vibes, which is exactly why we did separate sessions for each of them.

Phoenix Senior Session at Rose Gardens

Tara was up first. She's more soft-spoken and sweet, so we started at the rose gardens in Phoenix. It's a classic location that works well for someone who wants something pretty without being over-the-top. The gardens gave us variety without having to overthink it.

Arizona State Fair Senior Photos

After the rose gardens, we headed to the Arizona State Fair. Fair sessions are risky because they can look dated fast, but done right, they're fun and different. The colors, the energy, the whole carnival atmosphere—it worked for Tara's personality.

Downtown Scottsdale Senior Session

Madi's session had a completely different feel. We met in downtown Scottsdale and hit up some urban spots before stopping at Sugar Bowl for ice cream. She had more of an outgoing, adventurous energy, so the downtown vibe made sense. Plus, who doesn't love an ice cream break mid-session?

Tips for Twin Senior Photos

  • Do separate sessions. Even if you're twins, you're still individuals. Separate sessions let each person's personality come through without competing for attention.

  • Pick locations that fit each personality. Don't just use the same spot twice. Choose places that actually reflect who each person is.

  • Don't force matching. Unless you really want that twin aesthetic, let each session stand on its own. Different outfits, different locations, different energy.
