Gilbert Wedding Photographer at Colby Falls | Raeanne & Kyle
I photographed Raeanne and Kyle's engagement session earlier this year at the Riparian in Gilbert, and I was so excited to come back for their October wedding at Colby Falls in Gilbert. These two are hilarious - they originally planned a July wedding but pushed it to October, which became a running joke throughout the day.
Colby Falls was the perfect backdrop for their vibrant, fun celebration. The venue has this romantic garden vibe without feeling overly formal, which matched Raeanne and Kyle perfectly. Before the ceremony, the guys hung out in the groom's room playing pool while the girls got ready together. The energy was relaxed but excited - you could tell everyone was just pumped to celebrate.
Even though is was October, it was HOT! We moved the part inside and made good use of her wedding favors.
Right before the ceremony, Raeanne and Kyle met in a hallway to pray together. They couldn't see each other - they wanted to save that moment for the ceremony - but they held hands around the corner and took a few quiet minutes together. It was such a sweet, intentional way to start their day.
The Ceremony and Reception at Colby Falls
The ceremony was beautiful and emotional, and then the reception kicked off with that perfect mix of heartfelt moments and pure fun. My favorite detail of the entire day? Raeanne and Kyle are an ASU/U of A house (rivalry alive and well), and they decided to settle it once and for all during the money dance. They each wore their team's jersey, and whoever made more money got bragging rights while the loser had to wear the winner's jersey. Spoiler: Raeanne won. Kyle sporting that ASU jersey was one of the best moments of the night.
The whole reception was just good vibes - great dancing, gorgeous details (the florals and cake were stunning), and lots of laughter. At the very end of the night, after their bubble send-off, Raeanne and Kyle had a private dance together. Just the two of them, singing to each other. It was one of those sweet, unscripted moments that reminded me why I love what I do.
