Extended Family Photographer Chandler AZ | The Kronwald Family
One of the best experiences I had with my husband (before we were married) was getting to meet his family at a gathering. He’s also Spanish - so when I say family…well, if you know - you know. I on the other hand come from a pretty small family, its just me and my sister. I was amazed at all the cousins and aunties that kept showing up; everyone is so happy to see each other, there is hugging and laughter everywhere! It was so fun and overwhelming at the same time trying to remember names and how everyone is related…I’m sure after 22 yrs of marriage I’ve done the best I can at that ;)
Being with the Kronwalds was very similar - lots of laughter, hugging and joking. I have such a huge appreciation for them, I’ve heard so many stories over the years of what it was like to grow up in their home; how David and Ann were amazing parents. And look at the fruit of that labor, 4 kids that are genuinely friends and 10 grandkids! So good.
Tips for Large Extended Family Sessions
Sunset is Your Friend: Spring sunset light in Chandler is beautiful and forgiving. Everyone looks good, and it's not too hot for the kids.
Embrace the Chaos: With ten kids, things won't be perfectly posed, and that's okay. The best moments happen when people relax and just enjoy being together.
Schedule Early: Extended family sessions require coordinating multiple families. Pick a date months in advance and commit to it.
