Agritopia Orchard is one of my favorite spots in Gilbert for family photos, especially in the fall. The orchard paths, changing leaves, and open space give kids room to explore while creating a cozy, lived-in backdrop that still feels elevated. For the Klepper family, it was the perfect setting—golden light filtering through the trees, space for Owen and Olivia to roam, and a relaxed pace that let real moments unfold naturally.
Sessions with little kids aren’t about perfection. They’re about movement, connection, and embracing the stage of life you’re in—and Agritopia offers exactly that.
Tips for Family Sessions with Little Kids & Toddlers
Photographing families with toddlers requires a different mindset—and that’s a good thing. Here are a few tips I always share with parents:
Let go of expectations. Toddlers won’t sit still, and that’s okay. Some of the best moments happen in between.
Movement is your friend. Walking, spinning, chasing, and snuggling naturally lead to genuine expressions.
Don’t stress about smiles. Connection matters more than everyone looking at the camera.
Trust the process. I guide gently and adapt as we go, especially when little ones need breaks or comfort.
Embrace this season. Sticky hands, giggles, and all—it’s part of the story worth remembering.
